Cheers to all the mamas! From those who mother and parent their human babies, to caregivers, fur mamas, and everyone else who takes on the responsibility, weight and role of caring and loving unconditionally as they raise their babies. 🫶🏽✨

A special shout-out to those who find this day challenging, no matter the reason. Personally, this is a complex date for me as I am still healing from the loss of my mom, yet I know how important it is to celebrate me as I give it my all in my mothering journey. I’m also so fortunate to have a family who does their best to make me feel hella special on this day.

I also want to acknowledge all the mothers around the world who are facing inhumane treatment during this time, from Palestine to Congo and Sudan. We are not free until all of us are free. ✊🏽🍉

FIXING THE FOLDS ON DENIM SHORTS | PRO TIP ✌🏽✨️

A quick how-to tutorial on ensuring the folds and cuffs on my denim shorts are crisp and looking sharp. These are by far my favourite denim shorts, which I purchased from @Reitmans last summer. They are stretchy and curvy proof as they do not leave a gap on my lower back and provide enough room for my booty to fit just right.

While I apply this pro tip most to these denim shorts, this trick can work on any cuffs and folds. It is super easy, quick, and even travel friendly as I use the mini straighter I received from @Boxycharm some time ago.

I discovered the @flashfood app and I am absolutel

I discovered the @flashfood app and I am absolutely obsessed! Can you believe I got all of this for $15?! I ordered 3 boxes of fresh fruits and vegetables from the app at $5 each and picked them up at my local @nofrillsca. Not only does this increase my access to fresh produce, especially with today's prices 🤦🏽‍♀️, but it also prevents food waste at the grocery store level. The Flashfood app is a great response to these challenges. We have no choice but to purchase groceries, so let's save some money and make a difference while doing it!

I am not sponsored nor do I work with the Flashfood team, however it was important for me to share this as I feel this is one way that families can afford to feed their families nutritious meals in today's food gouging crisis. Due to corporate greed, families are currently faced with challenges in their access to fresh fruits and vegetables because they simply cannot afford it. In my experience, my grocery bills have tripled to quadrupled compared to purchasing the same items on my list from a year to a year and a half ago. Prices for groceries have increased so significantly in the last year and most family incomes have failed to keep up with this growth, and the truth is families were already facing these challenges prior to this crisis. We have a Canadian food guide that families cannot afford to follow, yet parents are blamed for the growth of obesity in children. Parents' mental health can and will suffer not only to the challenges of trying to make ends meet, but if they are not consuming nutritious meals their overall health will also suffer - so how could they be expected to raise children at their best and be the best? This is a systemic issue and a crisis which we are going to see long-term negative effects. With all this said, I hope that by sharing about the Flashfood app, you or a member of your community can continue to access nutrious food options are discounted prices. Either use the app yourself, or pass on the word! Families should not struggle to feed themselves and their children nutritious options. 🥬🍎🥦🍇🍅🍒
