As a result of the pandemic, many families will not be handing out candy or trick-or-treating; however this does not mean that Halloween has to be completely cancelled. CBC Kids has done a fantastic job at coming to the rescue for many families this year; from hosting virtual kindergarten grad ceremonies to now offering countless fun Halloween themed events. Their main Halloween event is the Trick-or-Treat Spooktacular happening on October 29th via Facebook Live.

Halloween Pizza

I looked up some Halloween pizza ideas on Pinterest because this is one of the fun activities I am planning at home. We LOVE making our own pizzas with a huge selection of toppings, so for this event we will be getting creative with some edible Halloween themed pizza art.

Movie Night

What are you favourite Halloween movies? My top favourite is definitely Hocus Pocus, and it has become my family’s too. We also love Casper and both Addams Family movies. So grab some snacks because a movie is an excellent way to wrap up Halloween night!

I personally LOVE getting dressed up for Halloween. My daughter’s costume is all set, however my husband and I still need to figure out our costumes. Of course, I looked up “DIY family costume ideas” on Pinterest and found some excellent options with items you may already have at home.

Have you thought about doing fun halloween crafts or games? I picked up some Halloween themed craft kits from Michaels, however you can also gather your own materials based on the Halloween activities pins on Pinterest.
